Not too sure on the side stripes also
I agree with abemon. I've been noticing this for about a year or so. It all started with that blue one that was in MCG... The one with the crazy wide/deep rear rims and rubberband tires. Something just doesn't look "right" about the stripes. The OP's picture from the side looks sort of suspicious too. The stripe, top and bottom halves are not identical, perhaps the reproductions are. Maybe I'm just crazy, but abemon's and mine look right, others do not. When you buy a set of reproduction stripes, are they left and right side specific because I believe the originals are.

OK, Just ordered a new kit from Performance Car Graphics!! After talking with Dave there he told me that the quarter panel stripe is different from right to left and if the kit I have does not state right or left the stripe would look wrong! My kit quarter stripes are identical??? Of course upon removal...tail panel came off perfect and quarter pulled some clear off!! Just thought after all the money into restoration why not make the car look correct!! I wish I thought of that 2 years ago when I bought the POS!! stripe kit. As for the quarter stripe Dave stated that the stripe should not touch the flare in the quarter!! I have seen stripes both ways so what is correct and what looks better I personally like it not touching so that is the way I am going but, then again once the stripe gets here it probable will go on exactly the same as the last stripe knowing my luck!!

Dave at PERFORMANCE CAR GRAPHICS is the absolute best in the business. He's been making stripes for Mopars for over 25 years. When you receive your stripe kit, not only will each piece have the date of manufacture, but it will be marked "top" , "bottom", "left", "right", etc...very strict attention to detail. They will also come with instructions as well as photos and measurements for placement. I will never buy my stripe kits from any other manufacture...ever!

Cool! That means I'm NOT crazy.
I'm sure factory placement varied to a degree. My original stripes do come down slightly into the flare, but do not get near the actual lip.
Most of the stripes I ever got for my other cars are from Performance car graphics. They've always been a pleasure to deal with.

who did you buy the stripes from, the rear is not right

I am thinking of just replacing the rear stripe since, Phoenix told me there side stripe kit will come down that low on the quarters also??? The only company I see that sells the correct rear stripe looks like performance car graphics...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
how is fellow Moparts member ChallengerGary's stripe kits...but again not correct tail stripe with back drop for demon....
I mark my Demon side stripes with D and P on all of the pieces because there is a slight difference between the arc of the qtr panel stripes and the top and bottom sections of the fender and door stripes are not truly symmetrical either. My tail panel is the 72 style without the little "dip" for the Demon Decal placement. I could easily add that to mine if someone gave me accurate measurements on size and placement.
