Im not sure what you are asking. The VR-1 available at most auto parts store has a API SM rating on it, hence no zinc.
The good Valvoline says "Not for street use", but in theory any oil without a API rating is not supposed to be used on the street.
Yes my wording was vague. OK so the VR-1 is an SM (street)oil (not high zinc) and there's another valvoline oil that IS high zinc? If I got it straight what is the hi zinc valvoline oil and the VR-1 says "not for street use" but is a racing oil but is not a high zinc oil?
