what it sounds like to me is someone had the distributor out and put it in Backasswards and then moved all the plug wires around. when it is a TDC the rotor should point right to the #1 cylinder . right now it should be pointing at # 6 if it,s out 180. if you want to know if you have burnt valves do a leak down test. start at #1 piston and bring it up to compression stroke and hook a air line to the spark plug hole and put air in then listen to hear a leak . if you hear it from the carb you have a burnt intake valve If it comes from the exhaust it is a exhaust valve that is burnt . do that to each cylinder and you will know if you have any burnt valves hope this helps you out.....
