Having some problems with my alternator not putting out enough voltage. Checking the voltage at the alternator B+ terminal and to ground, its only putting out 12.9 volts at idle. At the battery its at about 12.7. That usually increases when I'm on the throttle according to the voltmeter inside the car.

I decided to do the amp gauge by pass to see if that would be any help and it really didn't change anything (but for some reason my AMP gauge is always showing a reading even though its not even connected..hmm).

I have a brand new 65 amp alternator on there so I know its not the alternator itself.

Where should I go from here? How can I test the voltage regulator?
