Your best bet is to contact your local USPS and tell them what you want to ship and if you have an approximate size of the package and its weight, they will let you know if it can be shipped and delivered. I just shipped a motorcycle part to Australia and the first person I spoke with at my local USPS told me that I couldn't. Then another USPS person overhearing the conversation correct the person, explained what could not be shipped and approved what I wanted to ship. She handed me a U.S. Custom's declaration for me to fill out, which I took home, filled it out and brought back with the packaged part. Less than ten days later the package was received in Australia, a 12-pound package and $96 fee. You can do the same with FedEx, UPS, and DHL, etc., USPS worked surprisingly well for me.
