This spring I ordered a small nearly-unobtainium electronic part from a store in B.C.... it took two full weeks. Came the same day as another envelope from California. Both padded envelopes had obviously been run over by a cart. Good thing he didn't put a "Fragile" sticker on it!
Luckily the very rare part (a hybrid sampling bridge for a Tek S-4 head, if you're interested ) is mounted in a tough aluminum block, and survived.
