I think the cam was 241/247 with roughly 0.600 lift. It was a custom Comp hyd roller using some of the "fancy" lobes out of the lobe catalog. I didn't take a picture of the dyno sheet. Power peak was in the upper 5000 range, maybe 5600 or 5800.

This 508 is very similar to the 496 that is in my Coronet. Same pistons, cam family, heads, etc. The 496 in my Coronet had peak power of 613 hp at 5800 rpm. So these aren't high rpm race engines, they are performancestreet engines which still manage to squeeze out 600+ hp. Of course you could race the engine but you wouldn't want deep gears.
