i found the splice just below the fuse box on the drivers fender,2 of the wires hook to the auto shutdown relay and the fuel pump relay,i think the color might change with the year?,just take the fuse box loose and turn it over,follow the wires till you find where the connect,its almost right under the fusebox,or as some call it the power distribution center,AKA PDC
i had heard of the problem years ago,but never seen any corrosion on mine,and i had looked there before!!
