I put 1200 miles on my new old pickup and noticed the temperature gauge running pretty close to hot for the first 600 miles. I figure I need a new fan clutch. But I wasn't at home and didn't have time or place to swap so I threw in a bottle of Hyperlube Super Coolant hoping it would be an easy fix. Well, it works! It dropped the operating temp by around 10 degrees F, which was enough to get me home out of the worry zone. $7.00 at Walmart saved me a lot of worry. The way I see it, it's a crutch that may be helpful to someone else, too.
