(1) use a double female "reducer bushing" 1/4-1/8 (NPT) along with (2) a 1/4 male nipple of the length you need (has male threads on each end) then the gauge brass fitting will screw into the 1/8 female end of the reducer bushing the same as if you installed it in the block port on the pass side. several bucks at your hardware/plumbing supply store for the (2) pieces needed
