I agree, i think solid mounts get a bad rap, but when used properly (nice smooth balanced engine assembly) they arent hardly noticable in a performance application.

Now if you have a rough running and tired motor that isnt quite hitting properly on all 8 (or 6 in some cases here ) then the excess vibration will obviously transmit right into the truck.

Oh, and only use a poly or rubber trans mount with solid mounts---otherwise you risk breaking the trans housing.
