what a train wreck of a thread

They ALL are when it comes to Mopar vs ANY other kind of parts. The "purists" get their knickers in such a wad at the mere thought of having a non Mopar part, that the "FACTS" that are then relayed are nothing more than blind "brand loyalty" and in reality have NOTHING to do with real world FACTS.

You see this the BEST in any Mopar vs GM trans debate. The Dana vs 9" debates and the pinion angel threads........LOL!!!

Most of these threads, to get any meaningful info from them, require a user to have the rarest of ALL SUPER powers......the power of applying COMMON SENSE........LOL!!!!

I don't hear Ford and GM racers crying about having to run a Proflite in the record holding vehicles.

They just do it and set records.

As a matter of fact, Ford and GM racers seem to embrace every part that becomes available, including cylinder head and block configurations that were not assembly line offered.

They just buy it and go fast.

Then......at the end of the day they call it a Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, etc. and so does everyone else. It appears it's mainly in the MOPAR world that legions of the faithful get their panties in a bunch if the aftermarket deviates too far from the "Purple Shaft" cam.
