I can't seem to find anything on this anywhere, hoping y'all can help me out.

I have a 2005 Ram 3500 5.9 Cummins with the 48RFE transmission. Occasionally, the transmission temp warning light on the dash comes on.

Here is the thing. It only flashes on for a second and pings and then turns off again. I have pulled over and done the finger check on the transmission fluid and its always BARELY lukewarm, never hot, and, as I said, the light never stays on, it just flashes on and off.

It doesn't do it every day maybe every week or so and it will do it 2 or 3 times during my 30 mile commute. But then it doesn't do it again for days or weeks at a time.

Could the problem be a bad sender?
