It is my understanding (maybe Ive missread) that all of the EDM lifters (for sure the Howards EDMs) are AMC style lifters, due to the height of the oil band?

Maybe they are putting the EDM hole in the bottom..
but the stock MP AMC roller lifter didnt come that way

When I was building my 416 I was going to use a set
of AMC rollers but I wanted the EDM hole in them for
lower RPM idling on the street... at the time Brian
(on here) was the only one that made a EDM roller
with the PR oiling so I went with his... he was doing
the design which he did for Comp cams(if I remember
right).... now there are a few companies out there
that do the same set up
