When I change the lights in my car I am going with the truck light brand. They don't look perfectly traditional but I have seen them in action on Jeeps and they work amazingling well.

I have some 20 year old sealed beams in my car and on DragWeek we just pray we make it to the hotel before it gets too dark lol. If we were in the mountains last year in the dark all my crappy headlights would have shown me is where we were going to crash.

In a recent article in one of the Mopar mags the owner used Harley LED headlamps. I have no idea who the manufacturer is though.

Hogworx looks promising, but they are spendy. At least they are DOT approved

https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/hogworkz-led-7-headlight-for-harley-1994-2019

They also have the halo version too for even more spendiness.

I've been considering Hella. They are DOT approved. I don't like the funky look of most LED's.

As much as I like the the ones with the Halo light,I had Hella lights in the past and I really like the way the GLASS is fluted!

Does the Hella kits require any changes in the wiring?

I put quadratec brand led in my wife’s wrangler. They are nice, have the cutoff like a new car. It would be funny to put a Jeep brand lights in an old car, but I don’t think it would bother me. I think they are trucklite, just cheaper. They do have a Q or something on them.

No,stock style plugs.Even if you have rewired the front does not matter.

I don’t know who they have them made by, it’s not exactly the same as trucklite, but they offer it with the Q blacked out so it’s not as visible, AND they are on a 3 day sale right now. 250 a pair for the blacked out ones. Quadratec has pretty good customer service, I would be surprised if they wouldn’t take them back if you don’t like them.

i have a 67 coronet and have thought about using nicer headlights. haven't messed with it yet.
looks like our cars use an H5006 headlamp so you could use this kit..

i thought about using a 146mm dual beam lamp and then putting some yellow fog lamps in the inner position. easiest way to do that would be to use relays and use the factory hi/low wires to activate the relay, new wiring from the relays to the lamps.

I like the way the glass is fluted,it puts a line on the top of the light beam,When you pull up behind another car,the line goes straight across the rear of the car in front of you! Also the bulb can be increased from the 75 watt that comes with it to 100 watt grin

oh yeah, I've had mid 80's water cooled VW's because they are fun as hell autocross cars. The Euro spec lights i've installed on them do that. I like that light pattern.

Trucklite here...better in every way. Less current, more light, I am powering them through the OEM wiring, no relay or anything. Measure the voltage drop at the light and it was negligible.

Only thing, they stick out slightly past the trim ring.

Made in USA, 3 year warranty, DOT approved
