Found this D50 less then a mile from my work in a field. Pulled it out a few days ago, started cleaning it up. Needs some underhood wiring repair that critters have eaten and ill see if it will fire up. 2.6 with automatic trans. Looks to have been sitting for about 12 years.

I had one with a 5 speed also, I'd take it to the 1/8 mile track it was faster than a friends 283 nova. I hammered the 5 speed to the point it would spin the tires in second and back in third at the track and it never gave me trouble. Fun truck, I sold it at the end of 89 and bought a new Dakota pos.

Have a great day

My dad had a D50 back when they were new. He had my uncle custom paint it with a matching topper. It was a pretty neat truck.

The 2.6 in those were pretty quick for the time and what they were.

Biggest issue i ever ran into was the carb.
And the occasional head gasket. and timing chain rattle
