Any issues with running a piston with 1.320 height on the street and is there longevity concerns...

Only 1 question and not multiple threads from me LoL

Thanks

1.32” wouldn’t be considered short in my book. That’s a typical low-deck / long rod 451 piston ht. Not even a second thought.

Until the ring lands are into the pin bore, you’re fine.

My first pump gas 400 block stroker motor(511 C.I. with a 4.25 stroke crankshaft and a 6.800 long rod) had the wrist pins in the oil ring lands with a ring spacer, it never used oil or contaminated the spark plugs either shruggy work
My current 400 based bracket motor has the same crankshaft with a set of 6.700 long BB Chevy type forged steel H beam rods with no issues with it either shruggy
I may have the piston build sheet some where on both of those motors, they are real short on the pin to bottom the of the piston skirts, real short up
The first set of forged Ross stroker dished pistons weighed 456 grams without the wrist pins or rings and including the oil spacer rings in the pistons boogie up

No issues at all, they won't give you any trouble.

I've had three personal vehicles with 5.7 Hemi engines. One had 190,000 miles on it when it was totalled. It used no oil, ran perfect.

When it was totalled, I replaced it with another one which recently turned 150,000 miles. Same thing as above.

I feel both vehicles have had good maintenance.

I also have a truck that is about to turn 250,000 miles. I bought it from a machine shop that used it to haul tools all over the country. I believe it was probably maintained using whatever the cheapest bulk oil the quick oil change sold them. Same thing, it uses no oil and runs fine.

Compression height is 1.220.

You wont have any trouble.

I could go on about the engine in my signature car which has 1.32, but I feel the 5.7 hemi is a better example.

ps. That demon sounds cool!!

Thanks Zippy I sold the demon last year in August. Then I bought the belvedere as I wanted to be able to drive around on the street when racing didn't happened that weekend for whatever reason, now trying to get together a game plan for a engine for the belvedere because right now the 318 in it is TIRED

Too bad it's gone....but myself I do prefer the bigger cars even if they carry more weight. There is something about the proprtions of a B body that totally does it for me and always has.... There is an intimidating street presence a B body has that, in my opinion a smaller car just doesn't. Not sure why....and of course the smaller cars are usually faster but it's not always about that one thing.

All the stroker combos that use 1.32 ballpark CH are "known good"....I have a feeling your Belvedere is going to be a good runner.
