Interested in hearing some opinions on this topic.

Any weight numbers on the Scat Pak 1320 ?

The 1320 seems as good a place to start as any at this point., if ya add a cage I see no need to have all the mandated crash crap.

The front fenders and hood on a new Challenger are feather weight.

That's what I've thought.
Aside from the obvious stuff in the engine bay that could take a hike, there is stuff in the bulkhead and back that can see the highway as well.
Weight can then be distributed to where ever it is needed.

All are making good points. Safety items have to stay. Did not realize that Challenger fenders & hood are so light. Was thinking more along the lines of non-essential electronics, wiring, insulation/sound deadening as some have suggested.
Got a what if here-how much trouble to remove the radio/CD and speakers along with the wiring? On the surface, it seems easy, but when I look inside the Challengers, it comes across as a daunting task. Wondering if the job is worth the aggravation.
According to google, Scat Pack 1320 weighs 4127 lbs. with one seat; it's 87 lbs lighter than a regular R/T Scat Pack.
My weight-down to 170 from 200, so there's a little gain! LOL

My suggestion about removing wiring is to watch this episode of Project Binky and decide if its a task you want to accomplish.

Also don't blame me when you watch the whole shootin' match. These guys are awesome fabricators.

I've watched Project Binky from day one. Never cared to go Rally Racing, or own one of those toy cars, but the fab stuff on there is extreme.

July 19th should be "Drive Like Rockford Day". R.I.P. Jimmie.
