A friends of mine 69 satellite originally had a factory holley slant six carb on it.which needs a complete rebuild. just got a factory nos carter carb and it has the double square throttle linkage setup and which there no way to bolt the throttle cable on it.anyway to convert it over or it make it work?

Can you drill a hole in the throttle bracket & use the common "horizontle" bolt/nut that later engines use. EDIT or even if need be, bolt a flat piece of metal to the bracket to correctly locate the bolt/nut to get your "leverage & travel" where it needs to be
