For a street class I need to run a Mopar or MP distributor and OEM ignition box. Gold was the best at one time. Rev limits are 6400 rpms. Since this is old technology, anyone selling a dependable unit? I found a gold unit at NAPA but it was only the coating that was gold. Just about all of the aftermarket ones are silver. I can only assume there are knock offs out there.

I've always liked the mopar chrome box, but FBO has a box/coil combo with a rev-limiter and set up to run a full 12v to the coil.

the MP Chrome box is a good choice for OE type boxes & the FBO one/coil would be a good setup (its reliability may or may not be good but we are the complaint dept so we do hear about the failures) but it is $$$ & might not pass tech (checkout a pic of it). I would get a '75 OE black HEI module from a chebby from a yard. It is a high powered piece. www.designed2drive.com has an adapter to mount it under the dist (pricey tho) or mount it on a thick piece of aluminum plate with heat sink paste between the two. Get an E coil.
