I am looking for steel front fenders for a 72 Dart and I’m having no luck with new or used, does anyone have any suggestions? It seems they make them for 71 and older but not the 72

70-72 should be the same except for the side marker lights. If you have a new 70-71 fender you could transfer the side marker area from a 72 in place.

I think the 72 versions just have a hole for the wires and the mounting bolts so that would be easy to duplicate.

The problem is my original fenders are long gone, I have fiberglass on the car currently and really want to go back to steel. And yeah they seem to be the problem with all that is filling the 70-71 marker light hole.

Fill all 4 openings and use the 68 Port Holes.
Sorry, but Unless the car actually is original,
all this"original appearance" stuff is boring to me. stirthepot

Here's a nice NOS 72 drivers side, there's a nice clean pair of 71's on Ebay you could convert if a pr is a must...

Find NOS or original. I bought a pair of mint ones just last year. Also bought a NOS passenger side a few months back. I have seen several other nice sets for sale since so they are out there.
The other option is to buy the 70-71 reproduction fender and fill the marker light holes. There are no flanges on the cutouts for the 72+ sidemarker lights so its simple to cut the holes for them. An air file is great for getting the square holes perfect.
I can get pics and measurments if you need them.

MoparMike1974,

Measurements would be great. NOS is not something I’m willing to rob another guy of this was a slant six car that is now big blocked, I’m just tired of the fiberglass fenders.
