Any of the better known Hemi builders should be able to help you get the cam you want.
I got mine from Ray Barton. 565/547 with 250* SFT. I am very happy with it.

What is the stroke? That's pretty important when picking a cam.

I think you'll find that the duration is a more accurate indicator of the RPM range than the lift. Shifting your Hemi under 6,000 won't take much cam at all.
The .565/.547 250* cam in my 540 pulls to 6,800.

Me thinks the required spring pressures determine the life of the lifter.I found out the hard way.I'm on the same set of comp 848's since March of 04.Rebuilt for the second time last winter. My lift is mid 6s with spring pressure low 600lbs over the nose in a street driven hemi that sees over 1000 miles a year and if I'm lucky,,,,,60 passes.
HEMI-ITIS has no cure. My condition is fully BLOWN!!

it's a stock stroke .030 10:25 comp. I have a 524/507 MP hyd cam in it now . Would like to go with a solid or solid roller with more lift .Like the sound of a solid cam Hemi , I have the motor apart for freshening up now and thought it's a good time give it little power "You like the sound of solid Hemi cam", do you mean the clatter of the valve lash? for what you say your RPM range is don't waste your money on a upgrade.
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I think it would be kinda hard to keep under 6,000 the way they rev. I remember my buddy letting me drive his 64 dodge lightweight Hemi, nite and day difference from my 64 max wedge. Mine had a 5.13, his a 5.57, it hit the shut off (8500) on 2 & 3 because I wasn't expecting it to rev that fast. LOL

Since its a street car I am guessing it will be pump gas ? Whats the pump in your area ? I can find 93 at some stations in my area but most are 92. Course I would keep that in mind when picking a cam. Or have a good cam person or company spec a cam for your combo as that's what I did. I had Dwayne Ported spec a solid flat tappet for my pump gas combo and its nice to know I can pull in any station in my area and gas up and the car will run good with no detonation. Good luck with it. Ron

Talk to Dwayne Porter (Fast68plymouth here on the board). Get a cam spec'd by him and you'll never need to worry if there's a better cam out there for your combo again. 802-951-1955
