Does anyone know if chenoweth machine in Morton Illinois are around anymore?

i dont think so i asked this same question a few years back and they had gone out of buisiness.they were a top notch outfit for only two guys.

I think they went out of business during the recession back in 2008 or 2009. It has been a few years that is for sure.

I don't know where you are in Wisconsin but I would recommend Opel Engineering in Streamwood, Il. Ted is a meticulous machinist and has more performance knowledge than anyone I know.

While I haven't had a full engine built in years, Ted treated me right on 2 sets of heads that were of questionable origins. Gave me the truth and was fair on his prices.

Dale is retired, he raced a nostalgia super stock car with our group for a while. Still hangs out with us at the track. His soon took a differant job.

Mike and Dale built my engine at their shop in Morton, Illinois around 2007-2008. Back in 2012 I needed that engine freshened and Dale did it out of his shop at home. As others have mentioned Dale has since retired and Mike is busy. I spoke with Mike recently about my engine and he is getting out of engine building and doing it just as a hobby for local guys once in a while.
