I'm looking for an aftermarket "universal" throttle cable that will fit this style of pedal. Everything I have seen so far has a clevis style on the pedal side of the cable. When I find a cable that has the correct end for this pedal, the opposite end is set up for throttle body injection whereas I have an AFB.

Hmm, every mopar throttle cable from the muscle car era that I have seen is designed to work with that type pedal and an AFB, the clevis hooks on a stud at the carb and the ball end fits the pedal.

So I am not sure what you need.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

I used a Lokar cable and it worked fine with that type of pedal.

Thanks guys.

Just for clarification, This is a non-Mopar pedal and the ball end of the cable does not engage the hole directly. There is a plastic bushing that gets pressed into the hole and the ball pulls on the pedal via the bushing.

I've found what I need for both the cable and the bushing.

The Lokar cable will come with the clevis style attachment at the throttle end, but it is held on by a ball. You just pull the cable through the outer sheath, and remove the clevis which then you just use the ball on the cable end. I think they have different ends at the carb. The nice thing is you can cut the cable to the length you want.

You are right 451. I have a Lokar cable from an earlier project and found that to be the case. Contrary to the earlier comment, the clevis is not on the carburetor-side on many cables.
