GEN III Hemi Accessory Drive - 09/05/19 10:23 PM

Does anyone know of one other than March Performance?

Since noone answered, just curious, why not run with the stock timing cover and the oe setup?

I am running the stock cover and water pump. But This is in a 69 Barracuda and I want a better placement for all the equipment.

we looked into doing one not that long ago. its hard to justify adding an aftermarket belt drive when you already have a factory belt drive. we even brain stormed adding a custom billet timing cover to get rid of the accessory bosses you don't need, but that would shoot the cost way out of the price range of most people.

Hey Jerry - did you look at just an alternator and water pump option more geared to racing?
Another piggy back application I could see is 'correcting' the car setup that puts the alt into the a arms on the old cars. Relo the alt somewhere with some brackets and a new belt.

I'd be in the market for both of those callme

that was one of the main things we considered. scaling back on the accessories and running more race oriented parts. still in the planning phase but not too far off.

Try Jones Racing Products at http://www.jonesracingproducts.com/. They have serpentine belt systems for the Gen3 Hemi. One system they have has just the alt and power steering and one has the alt, power steering and AC compressor. One major benefit of their system is that they can customize the pressure of the power steering pump so it can be used with the newer rack and pinion or set to a lower pressure for the older steering boxes. I will try to attach some pictures they sent me.

With the additional bracket on the alternator, does it move it up so it doesn't interfere with the frame rail? Jones makes some great stuff. Talked to them at PRI last year for awhile. Their mandrel kits would be another good option, but I think you would need to run an ATI damper.

No they didn't and I didn't ask since I am not close to needing it at the moment. If you go to their web page you can't find this set up (at least I couldn't), but they are pretty responsive to e-mail. I read about their set up somewhere, e-mailed them and they sent me six pictures on the two systems.

Be sweet if Holley made a kit like this for the Gen3 Hemi...

Yeah, I looked and didn’t see it. I’ll email and ask. I’m sure it’s not cheap, nothing is with these hemi swaps! Haha

Thanks for the info.

I ordered one today from March. It will take a couple of weeks to get. When I get it installed I'll post pictures.
