Porting pics and tips??? - 12/14/17 09:05 PM
Seems the old threads with pics all don't work any more plus people I am sure have come up with new ideas, any way we could get more info like for mild to wild port improvements? And one place to keep it all together this time?

Beautiful!
So on more mild home port work is is safe to remove spring seat bump and PR bumps or is that taboo?
Also I thought it was not recomended to touch the floor on these things, some of those pics look like there was some serious floor removal, what info can you share about that?
I know you have mentioned the rib in the floor, is that something that can only be added or can you just carve it in a little and still see some benifit?
How much info can you give on a VJ? My local machine shop always needs help when I ask for a VJ or else I just get whatever generic VJ they feel like.
Thanks for shareing.

On any head when your porting you need to pay attention to the spring pocket and pushrod pinch. Take a little to much out of a spring pocket and that 400lb guy falls right thru the ceiling.
I think its not the floor but the short turn. But if you look at the short turn on the BES port, they took alot out
The vein i put in the floor is because i found a dead spot and it seems to help. It also shows me just how much im taking out of the floor on each port.
Im no expert on VJ's.
My apache port goes 312@4, 335@5 around 350@6.
