I've lost track of it
To be honest I'm sure it's making a lot more now as the tuning
Gurus have caught up to the builders

I've stepped away from full car builds a lot and stick more
With cam design now ect

My latest one is based off stool steel core running in the 275 @.050 range
And about 15:1 compression
It should make well over 900 on 426 Inches

You make cams from steel from stools? Like bar stools?

glad he said bar stool, my crappy out look this week took me to a different part of the bar.

But seriously Steve , have you found any gains with more intake lift over , Exhaust example instead of say cam Lift I/E 502/528 Dur@50 208/212 , grind 528/502 Dur@50 208/212.

I have found gains in several ways
One it seems that they like a fast opening rate and then a slower closing rate lobe
They also appear to love reverse splits also

It just depends upon what your trying to achieve in the end and
What type of platform the motor will be in

Can a slower closing rate be equated to more duration in a sense?

Are you still using a stock cam core? If not do you bore the tunnel for roller bearings?

I have yet to bore a cam tunnel on one
Or attempt at putting rollerized cam bearings into one

I have seen some of these late model cam cores gun drilled
Sometimes they are not

What diameter are the gen3 cams? I wonder if it would even be worth the work, obviously depends on how much diameter is to be gained.
