6.4 Swap Wiring Issues

6.4 Swap Wiring Issues - 10/08/17 09:37 PM

Hey guys

My factory wiring harness is not sending power simultaneously to the ignition position and crank position. It will only send power to one or the other and the Mopar Performance wiring harness system for my 6.4 requires both hot at the same time. Has anyone else had this issue during their swaps? If so, how did you resolve this?

Apparently the previous owner cut some of the factory wires when installing the painless wiring harness during the restoration. Not sure if those missing wires are now causing me issues. I do not want to do anything that might damage or harm my 6.4 computer.

Thank you
Daryl

The Fast and Loud guys had the same issue when they did that Challenger they swapped the 6.4 in to the70( I think it was a70) 340 shaker car.
how they fixed it I don't know.

That's how it's designed.

If you need power in both crank and run then tie the two lines together use a diode to prevent back feed.

It's just been covered in the Q&A section for Fitech.
