Out of curiousity, would there be any interest in a crossram that would fit the holley high ram tops. So you can efi or carb it. Run 417 motorsports cooler that sandwiches between top and base?

Check out 417 motorsports. If you asked that question on a LS forum i think you would probably be killed

Brian, LXModguy, has one of these already with the 417 AW cooler stacked. His base isn't like this one though, I like that one Ray, and it using stock 6.1 rails is cool to. Are those 9" runners Ray?

That is really cool, I have tunnel ram fever lately for some reason.

I always have tunnel ram fever

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 11/04/16 02:43 AM

Would they be cast or welded like the prototype? I personally think he'd have no problem selling them. Stock 6.1 intakes go for 6-800 on the LXForums

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 11/04/16 03:17 AM

He said the heads would be cast if I remember correctly.

If the price is right, i'd be all over one. Now to see what the Holley top goes for.

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 11/04/16 05:52 PM

Looks like the holley top is about $180 for 2 4s, and $220ish for the single front entry throttle body.

Sorry to say but, the intake will never get cast if there is only 3 people that show any interest in it

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 11/04/16 11:17 PM

This is probably a pretty small sampling of the G3 swap crowd. You would have to scavenge the facebook pages as well as other forums to get a good count I am sure.

I want one, but I don't have a G3...yet

Whats the price?
I'm would be interested but I need to see some results from some Dyno testing.

I would be in let's see what kind of power it makes.

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 11/07/16 09:05 PM

He is supposed to test it. Im not sure what the cost would be but I do know how much money he has to spend to cast it and its not cheap

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 11/08/16 03:28 AM

i'd be willing to cnc the flanges if he wanted to make a bunch of weldments. maybe cheaper in the long run for the smaller quantity.

That is Sexy, I know I would be looking for something like that if It could be had with EFI top 750ish +/- $100 .. I know reality the 1st run might be as high as 1500 +/-$250.

It is designed to use the holley tops. So you can basically get anything you need

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 01/26/17 06:13 PM

Is this going to be a reality or is it still just prototype?
Posted By: sixpackgut

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 01/26/17 07:40 PM

Prototype right now. I think it could or would be produced if there was enough interest

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 01/26/17 09:01 PM

It's still a prototype at the moment. I had a date for testing with the second fastest LX in the country in February that fell through. Taking it to BFNY in Ohio to beat on Wendy's Charger on the dyno if Erik lets me. Still one of the fastest LX cars in the country!!

That's what they make 3d printers for now...

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 03/10/17 05:46 PM

Looks good. I was kicking around going something similar myself, although I'd want to make room for 16 injectors

3D printed material won't handle too much boost/heat. And would likely be pretty pricey.

There was a guy on FB who had a similar, slightly taller intake as well.

I would like a tunnel ram but I want a traditional layout. Don't care if it fits under the hood.

The new lt1 heads have a much squarer port than any of the previous ls engines. If holley would pump out a high ram for that it could be easily adaptable to a hemi

Re: Tunnel ram wanted?? - 03/12/17 12:20 AM

I would be very interested if its at the right price point. Forward facing throttle body

I like the sounds of that

The aftermarket manifold manufacturers should take note of Indy's Mod_Man intakes.Make upper intake variations that are adaptable to many manufacturers engines by using different bases.
