Crate 6.4 with 490HP for less than 10K?

A local jeep shop that swaps in brand new 6.4s says the motor cost is less tha 10K and the HP is 490, is this true?

I think car 6.4's are 485 ish as installed in cars, 470 hp in Jeeps (I think due to different exhaust). And you can find new crates on ebay for 8K ish. I think that a 6.4 dyno'ed like most engines are here on here (unbridled with exhaust and accessories) I think they'd be 520 ish (at least) with LT headers

Look on eBay for a crate motor, about 7k. But you need alt and PS and Ac comp,

Completely true. You would be very close with a manual trans. They can be had for $7000 ish.
