Top is a Thitek ported by Craig himself, 401@.600
Middle is a 6.1 intake plumbed
Bottom is a 6.1 with broken stock main cap after a few years of 1000+hp and a pair of turboes...

I'm going to post a couple of pictures of the block - this block and the current aluminum crate motor block (that was at SEMA) are not the same. I had not heard of any changes being made to the aluminum block - maybe someone can chime in.... the newer block has an X pattern set of stiffening ribs in the valley area that mine does not have

So they are doing away with the crossbolts on the center 3 caps?

I would think not.
The aluminum blocks are 3 center 4 bolt mains with all 5 caps cross-bolted

Why would they not add the cross-bolts?
Do the iron blocks not have the provisions for them?
