QA1 front shocks

What are the options for an adjustable front shock absorber.

68-70 B body for street use. Would like a stiff shock for good street handling and the ability to loosen it off for the occasional trip to the dragstrip.

Looking at a QA1 TS501 but they are pretty expensive.

Check out Vikings, the developer came from QA-1, they do offer custom valving as well.

There area a few selections out there at a range of price points from $50 to $300 in single to double adjustable, twin and mono tube.

IMO, simply loosening up the shock for occasional drag racing isn't worth it. The change will alter the consistentcy of the car, requiring a change in your driving style and likely will only knock off .09 or less of you e.t. Rear slicks used on a sorted street suspension, on the other hand, WILL reduce e.t. by second or more.

Thanks for the replies, I did a little research on the mentioned brands. Here is some feedback for everyone and me. Still not fully decided.

Comp Engineering. Drag only, which is too bad, there are only $49

Varishock. Super nice stuff but way out of my price range.

QA1. TS series. This is definately in the runnings. $160 and seems to suit my application. If you claim .09 is in the sixty foot, that is well worth it. This car will be on a drag radial and weight transfer will only help. Also the car has the entire QA1 front suspension in it now.

Fox seems to be off road stuff. Could not find Mopar specific stuff on their website. Odd since Hotchkis shock are from Fox.

Hotchiss. Not sure how to adjust. If they can not be adjusted on the car I don't want them.

Koni. Need to remove to adjust.

Pro. Too expensive.

Ridetech. The Mopar bolt in's are non adjustable.

Strange. Another candiate. At $160 and a popular brand I can trust. These may happen.

Viking. At $170 and they are double adjustable (all above are single). Seems like the best for the dollar.

Hotchkis shocks are adjustable from the shock support area inside the engine bay. They have little twist knobs and are very accessible. I have them and like them.
