I might be able to make that. I haven't been to Laguna in years! Do you think my 63 valiant lemons car would be welcome with that group?

There's not much to it, is a 1963 valiant with a 225 and a push button auto that is basically stock and slow.... Very slow..... Thunderhill this year was our first race and we did okayish for a first time team and did win the judges choice. Next race is sears point in December and then hopefully both sears point and thunderhill races in 2018.

Here's the roadkill writeup that covers the car a little bit.

Edit: I can't link to the roadkill article as the name doesn't pass the censors. Google "24 hours of lemons thunderhill 2017 valiant sweat winners" and you should find it.

Do it! Don't fall into the same trap I did where you own it for a couple years and never get it out on the track.

Laguna Seca was a great success! I didn't crash my cars haha!

I was also able to drive my S2000 on the track and the first time I have ever driven here. Really fun track although I made a bunch of mistakes it was still a fun day. Really helps to play video games to memorize the track layout

I will upload my YouTube videos later. I haven't checked them out yet, hopefully they look alright

Here is my first time driving at Laguna Seca. Still getting the feel of when to shift, braking points, etc. Made a bunch of mistakes but that is what learning is all about. Laguna Seca is a really cool track and the Corkscrew is a pretty sweet drop.

Here is my third session at the track. 2nd session was in my S2000 but I didn't get any video.

My little brother was the passenger and his first ever ride on a road course. The dumb@ss brought his phone even though I told him not too haha! They black flag passengers with hand held cameras as it become projectiles in a roll-over.

Took the wrong line at the Corkscrew a few times and shifted too late at turn 11 twice haha! Was a long day and pretty mentally tired which leads to mistakes. Laguna Seca is an awesome track and can't wait to go back!

So did you like that track better than Big Willow?

Laguna Seca is every bit legendary as in all the racing events and videos that have made it so famous. The track has a great mix of turns but no real long straights where you can get lots of speed. I feel its great for low power momentum cars like my S2000 where you pretty much floor it all the time, high power cars without adequate downforce will get in trouble fast. Another issue is the decibel limits. It took forever to drive there due to waiting for a 105db day.

I do like Big Willow better as it has the turn 9 to turn 1 straight that is so long that you can really put the hammer down which is such a rush! 135-140mph easily reached! I feel the Cuda is right at home there and if I ever drove my S2K I would be jumping up and down in the seat wanting more power haha! The only downside is that Big Willow is the farthest track from me, although the 360 mile long drive down and back gives me time to really enjoy my car. The Spring Fling event is truly special due to all the Mopars that show up and it dosen't feel lonely like at other track days. I can't wait to go back next year!
