Which flex lines for front disc conversion?

Bought the Mancini conversion for our 70 Charger RT Manual drum.
These are the style that slide metal to metal on the caliper mtg. brkt.
No pins...

All went well until we tried to fit the flex lines, (18") and could not configure them so there wouldn't be any interference when going lock to lock. They just seem too long.

Has anyone run into this and what is your flex line length?
Our lines have the banjo fitting at the caliper end but no matter how we positioned it, not good.

Position of the calipers, mounted towards the front of the car, or towards the rear? position of the bleeders and banjo ports on the calipers as currently mounted, IIRC the banjo ports and bleeders are on the same side of the caliper, bleeder top, banjo port directly below the bleeder...yes?

Went on line to NAPA's site and saw 14" line with a straight-in threaded fitting spec'd instead of banjo type, other pics on-line show similar line, so I've ordered them.

The decreased length plus different fitting should give me the clearance I need....we'll see, I'll report back and let Mancini know too.

Not familiar with this kit, but starting in 1970 B bodies had the factory calipers mounted towards the front. Is it possible your hoses are the correct length for this mounting?
At least check the instructions again.

Well, let's see how this crow tastes....

The NAPA lines didn't do the job, interfered with the shock.

Fiddled again with the lines from the kit and low and behold, with the proper indexing of both ends, we were able to get a satisfactory result.

Now I have to go back to my buddies at NAPA and admit (another) mistake!!

You have pictures?

The line needs to have plenty of length. You want to keep the flexing angle to a minimum.

Ok, took my own advice and looked at the instructions, they do say to mount them to the rear. And this probably the only way it will work on a '62-'69 with a factory sway bar, But on a '70 or later I'd swap the knuckles and mimic the factory routing, as the hard lines on your chassis are set up for this. Just my .02!
