Ive done three 65 Sport Fury conversions. Ive used the Scarbird kit and it was OK but probably wouldn't use it again. I also have the SSBC and it is a nice setup. The best one I did was using the original 73 fury front disc setup, spindles and all, nice but hard to find. I would go with the SSBC again.

Thanks.
I had looked at that and, a friend has their kits on 65 and a 66 Newport.
No problems

I'd go with the 69-73 factory spindles and 11.75" rotors.

The 73 spindle is the preferred one because the rotor is/was cheaper than the earlier 2 pce one. It is my understanding that they are machining the unicast rotor to fit the early spindle so they are cheaper than when they were 2 piece.

The only difference between the early and late setup is the bearing size on the rotors. All the other parts are the same.

I am planning on the same disc brake swap for a 66 Newport. Curious why you wouldn't use the scarebird swap again? Thanks

Its not a bad set-up and works fine, but I like the original 1973 Chrysler set up much better, but getting hard to find. The SSBC would be my choice over Scarbird, I was happy with the installation and performance of it.

We used a 73 spindle on our 65 Sport Fury project. We made a bracket and used the SRT 14.25" rotor and gen 3 viper calipers. In the rear we used '12 Challenger SRT Rotors and Calipers and a drum in hat e brake. Fits like a glove on the 8.75" rear.

If by some miracle that's a '66 SF out of SoCal, light metallic blue/blue interior, maybe even a CA license SUW812, contact me.

It's not.
I do have a numbers correct ( really, all numbers) 66 Sport Fury- factory ordered with 383 4bbl, factory AC.

Everything works, runs and drives- black car- deluxe interior , buckets, console etc.
Clock even works.
I would sell it.

No, it was my Dad's car; I just have some sentiment for it and hope it's still around somewhere. But if I found another in the same colors, I'd probably want to buy it.
