disc brakes! - 09/28/14 09:37 PM

..Rebuilt Kelsey Hayes 4 piston calipers, rotors turned and wheel
bearings about as tight as i want to go...getting a tiny bit of
pulsing.
Rear drums turned and everything else new including shoes.
..could a sticky caliper piston cause this or miss matched rear
drum/shoe radius??

No. I would say the shop who turned the rotors didn't mount them properlijk in the lathe and mostlikely cut them at a slight angle, OR maybe did one side at a time per rotor.

Pop a wheel off.
Bend a wire, get a pointy stick, or cobble together something to point at the rotor.
Turn the rotor by hand.

Does it wobble back and forth?

If so, check both sides. Compare the runout.

If it's got a bump on one part of the rotor it was likely a hot spot that was pushing the lathe cutter away from the rotor.
I've seen it happen on my lathe and it's far sturdier than any brake lathe at a repair shop.

Tx feets..did a little more investigating.
As you said i popped the wheels and the drivers' side scrapes slightly once per revolution.I haven't put a dial indicator on it but it is obvious.
