That is in my backyard. I built my car with it in mind. Entry is getting difficult these days and hopefully I will be able to enter for 2013.

I saw it awhile ago too and I thought to myself, "There's too many Fords and Chevys."

Sounds neat.

Saw this tidbit in the unlimited rule section, and contrary to mainstream thought here at moparts:

"12. Recommendations:
A. A larger steering wheel is recommended. (The intent is to slow steering response at
speed)."

I plan to change that. Other than a couple SRT8 Challengers and 2 or 3 Vipers there is about 100 Chevs with about 80 of those Vettes.

The Green Brick needs to come out of hibernation.

The Brick will never get a cage to run in the faster classes. Running these events in the slower classes is kind of boring in my opinion. 120mph down an open two lane to me isn't very exciting.

What would be in your opinion?

haha you should see the road. It's not called a challenge for nothing.

If I ran one of the open road race events it would have to be in the unlimited class with no mph restrictions. Running with no cage limits the speeds too much and just puts it down to a level that just isn't that exciting for me.

Others have different perspectives on things like this and what is challenging to one, is not to another. I would rather have an event with a much more technical road. Pikes Peak, 341 Challenge, Targa Newfoundland, tarmac and gravel rallies are events that I find much more challenging and enjoyable. Even in a much slower car.

I've seen the road. Not high on my challenge scale.

ORR is the bracket racing of the road race world.

Outside of the unlimited classes, it's about consistency. The challenge is in pacing. A good navigator really helps, especially in the hand-timed category.

Not everyone's cup of tea.

Looked like a 72 Charger ran the event. Finished 37th. Owner was a Bill Howell. Is he a member?

Exactly. Splitting hairs over averages in speeds at triple digit numbers can be its own lesson in frustration. Some like that type challenge, others don't.

Bill Howell is the Owner of the American Street Car Series, which hosts events like Run to the Hills and Run to the Coast, Pro-Touring style events that allow novices into some pretty big events (Optima Series seen on Speed Channel)

Saw that on tv too. Looked like it would be a blast to do the run just for fun and not care much about how I placed.

I had a good time talking with you again 72. The highlight for me was when Divid Grubnic the top fuel NHRA driver hatched Lingenfelters motor !!
Its a great time. If anyone ever thinks about going you should. It says alot when the people racing stay with the town folk in there own homes. Now thats hospitality !!!
