What years were b bodies equiped with pin style caliper - 01/24/12 04:56 AM

So I am finishing up my big brake swap on
My a body. I screwed up and bought everything from a 79 cordoba, yup i've gotten slider calipers. All of my donor stuff is pin style calipers! So when I return to the parts store, what year and model b body do I need to ask for to get pin style calipers? Thanks, Dan

What size brakes? 11 or 11.75?

Be careful there, the later style B body caliper have a weird brake hose routing. You would probably be safer asking for E body calipers.

Go to the www.moparaction.com website and read the Disk-O-Tech tech article.

I ran/run pin type calipers off a 1971 Challenger.

I think some late 77 B-body Fury with pin type calipers would work too.

Pins were used thru 1978. The last few years, they were almost exclusively on 4-door B-bodies, this assured the cops of having 'em.
