Thanks, John, so now I should definitely get a surprise, since I have never seen an MCG, except that pic Russ showed, and the same one in the original thread. I haven't a clue what October's looks like!

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the article about your trip in MCG. It seems like you had a lot of fun, and your taste in cars AND women is exceptional!! Dart Girl is WAY cool, and your Daytona is somethin' else! I can't imagine all of the neck-snapping second looks of disbelief (even from Mopar guys) that you got on your journey.......must be a lot of busy chiropractors from here to Michigan!!

Seriously though, I saw the post last week and finally got my issue yesterday. Really great article and makes you feel like you know these people. Of course, some of you here do know DG. She's really cool. Maybe someday she'll make an appearance at the Chicagoland Mopar shows around here. Heck, she could probably sign copies of that magazine cover at the MCG booth.

Real6Bbl, which DVD's were you referring to??? We'll definitely have to get together when we come back out to get my next Oz car which will HOPEFULLY be next year sometime! Ronnie has never driven the Bird as he has always been busy with whatever car he has had at the events I have had the Bird at. There was one time in St. Louis in 1993 I think it was, when Ronnie blew his car up early in the weekend and asked if I had the Bird there, and as luck would have it, I didn't!!! He did autograph the inside of the decklid in St. Louis in 2000 though so that was really cool! Anyways, thanks again for all the kind words and have a good one!

I live in the black stump, mate: The Valley!!!! I lived in Long Beach for many years, and I spent a lot of time in Garden Grove before the signs turned yellow and red, if ya know what I mean.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say thank you for the compliments. Makes an old gal feel good.

I've been working extra hours at the parts store so thats why I haven't chimed in until now, infact, I'm getting ready to go to work as we speak. Oh well, alternators don't just sell themselves I guess. Darn it!

Anyhoo, it was an honor to be on the cover of MCG and what's even cooler is the girl on the cover isn't just some model.... she really LOVES Mopars with her heart and soul, so much that she has one for a daily driver. That's the cool thing... least I think.

Take it easy and enjoy the rest of your weekends.

Can I say "Bite Me" to a mod without getting in trouble?

Gary, that's my Holden Torana... bigger then a Vega in everyway... made for road racing like the Charger and Falcon's of the day... It's an SS with factory V-8,4 speed, front and rear sway bars, etc. (but light weight)

They make good drag cars too in Oz, a big block Chev will bolt in and fit under the hood even with a normal intake..(drag guys of course need a scoop to clear tall intakes)

Here is a pic with a repo stock hood scoop too I put on soon after that pic (the scoop and flares were all a factory package)

Gary... the thing on the left was Shane's Holden One-Tonner...
Basically like a Holden ute (el camino-ish) that was made with a short cab, and a seperate flat bed. That one had the same basic engine as my Torana. Of course stock they are not lowered with 17" wheels
We cruised it around the big Pomona swap meet here with a couple of lawn chairs on the back, it was cool. (had a polished diamond plate tray)

Anything RHD can qualify...especially RHD stunt vehicles/beer kegs


Not sure about elsewhere, but around Melbourne (Croydon/Chirnside Park anyways) they don't even have mail trucks that I saw.. just a guy on a moped with 2 side bags Anything bigger and you pick it up from the post office.

Yep, we sure are. Dean and Zippy have seen the Mail Jeep in person, she does exist. And it's probably the most unsafe vehicle on this board, RHD or not.

We're going to need an Australian correspondant to answer the LHD aussie mail truck inquiry. I'm as curious as anyone!
