27th Annual Mopars @ E-Town Nationals
The 2013 Mopars @ E-town Nat’s will be bigger and better than ever. This is a one day only event, Saturday August 24, 2013.
This years show will feature many great attractions.
Grand Marshall Steve Magnante! Will be racing his famous Wilshire Shaker AF/X Nova vs. Billy Atwood’s Flashback AF/X Plymouth.
This years event will also host the 6BBL / Six Pak Reunion. A Reunion of 1969 to 1972 Six Pak and 6BBL Dodges and Plymouths from the famous A12 to the T/A Challenger. Special Show classes and Special muffled Race Classes for all 6BBL and Six Pak Mopars (Stock and Modified).
Back by popular demand, Adam 12 Cop Car Challenge. Have an old Mopar Cop car? Race it in the Adam 12 Cop Car Drag Race.
SuperCar ShootOut Stock Appearing MuscleCar Race class. 1957 to 1974 Stock Appearing race class featuring the best of Detroit in a heads up race, winner take all.
Huge Showfield with over 40 classes for all years of Mopars from early to modern. 3 Trophies per class and Best of Show Award.

What they don`t say is that Sunday is a regular Sunoco Points day and the last one at that so expect to be squeezed in around their schedule.

Correct. this is a One Day only event. Saturday only. Sunday they will have a Mopar unmuffled race class.

We will be there again this year to support them as always! Won't have the charger this year but will be bringing a new car with us.... dad's recent acquisition.... 69 GTX convert. all original sheet metal , #s match drive train. Instead of my charger this year, I'll be bringing down moms 70 chally vert.
Also planning on bringing a certain refreshment maker with me if I can fit it into the confined trunk space of the chally.

The E-town mopar show was a great show back in the eigthies. We would go down and it was always a great time with tons of cars and parts and the racing. I have photos of at least 20 T/As and AARs in a row at the 1986 event. It really fell off when they changed the schedule. We'll see, maybe we can make it this year.

Lower left in the left picture is my 71 cuda 383!!! I still have those 2 chairs!! I drove down from CT and ran 14.2 that day in time trials!
It was hot as hell!!
I will be back this year for the first time since then with my 70.

Are you allowed to run open headers or need mufflers? could make the difference if I go or not. Never mind I just read the rules my 64 has no belts and the 67 has no mufflers. that muffler thing sucks.

Just confirmed Bill Mavericks Little Red Wagon will be on display at the 2013 Mopars @ E-Town Show and Race Saturday August 24, 2013. George Geissinger will be bringing out one of the ‘Original’ Little Red Wagons raced by the legend Bill Maverick. This wagon was crashed in the 70's and was owned by Bill until his great friend George took ownership and preserved the Little Red for future generations to see. This Wagon was on display at the 2013 Mopar Hall of Fame Inauguration.

Cool. Looking forward to seeing the Bill Maverick wagon. Even though my car is no show car I'll have it in the field this Saturday. My friend Ray is coming with his '66 Dart GT convertible. I want to support this show. I just hope we get good weather this year.

I haven't gone in a few years, mostly due to works schedule. I know enthusiasm and attendance dropped off a bit (I assume why it's only 1 day now).
My 2 boys and I are going to try to get there just to be a spectator (my Dart is in 1000 pieces).
Off topic, I remember when they used to hold a giveaway for project cars, a Plum Duster 340 and a '68 roadrunner, back in the early '90's... anybody know of what happened to those cars?

I think that will be a LOT of the vendors response also! You really have to wonder how many vendors will be there! I can almost assure that the vendor spaces will be a LOT less than last year due to it being one day show.

Our Invitational Display is filled with some very special mopars. We have National Magazine coverage coming out to take picture and looking for feature cars for there pages.
Remember this is the only 6BBL and Six Pack reunion in the country that features all years and all makes from AAR's to Fury GT's. The responce has been awesome!!!!

Hopefully this will be the second year in a row that the show is on the up swing! I've heard a rumor that the 2014 Mopars @ E-town is not a confirmed thing yet. Sad that they don't have something like that confirmed. Almost seems like they want this show to disappear. At least Island Dragway is now re-opened and will have a Mopar at the Patch show on Sat. Oct. 19th!

I will tell you as long as Walt and or I are involved this will never go away. E-Town is great to work with they have given us everything we asked for with no questions asked.
The expectation for this year is to have a great time and continue to build car count in the show and on the race track. I will tell you that Walt E-Town and I have been talking about 2014 and plans are in the works for next years Mopars @ E-Town event. Maybe back to two days. Let s focus on making this a better show than last year. And most important lets have fun!!!!

No cutting corners just a misprint on the flyer. With over 40 classes, Carlsile is the only show that has more classes than Mopars @ E-Town.
Don't forget every first place winner gets an E-Town Jacket. Does Chryslers @ Carlisle the greatest show on earth (IMO) do that?

I always go to have a good time! E-town is basically a central point for all of my friends and me to meet up at least once a year! Besides, there is no excuse not to show up with only living an hour and a half away! Been to this show every year (weather permitting) with the exception of one year and that was the weekend I got married) I know, poor planning on her part!

I kind of knew the guy who won the Duster. He was the same guy that sold my brother his first Mopar in the '80s which was a '72 Challenger. I saw the Duster at the guys house because I used to pass his house on the way to my school. I stopped by to talk to the guy one day not too long after he won the Duster and he had it up for sale. I guess he would rather have money than the Duster. I wonder if he regrets the decision to sell the car today? Man, that was a very nice Duster.
So far it looks like we will have good weather for the show tomorrow. I'm planning on getting there as early as possible. Sometime between 8 and 9am. I'm really looking forward to it. This will be the first time in many years that the weather will be good for this show. I honestly think that had been weather been good last year there would have been even more of an improvement over the previous year.

Actually the weather last year was perfect. Since the needed date change to summer we have been blessed with great weather. Glad to hear your coming back to be part of this great day. Make sure to call a friend or two to join you with there Mopar. C U Tomorrow.

For now, it looks like I be coming down.
Not sure what class to run.
Modified 6bbl?
Bracket 2 or 3? (My car could run anywhere from 11.70s to 12.30s depending on the weather.) I'm guessing... If I run bracket 3, I won't be able to dial in any lower than 12.0. (?)

Well having it the same time as the hemi reunion in OH ain't going to help.
Anyone in PA, NY & WV can pretty much pick which one they want to attend.
So if I happen to decide drive down again with my Mopar'10, exactly what is considered to be "Stock class". (show)
Only things changed are the wheels & tires (stock appearing, but wider) and a 2011 front spoiler in place of the 2010.
Other than that it's still bone stock... even the tune.
Sure it's packed full of Mopar performance parts... but the factory put them on there.

That show in Ohio is a hell-of-a-lot farther for us PA guys than Englishtown.
The only way Englishtown can return to it's glory days is if we actually go.

IMO This will never be the show it was in the 90's. And that is OK. My goal is to make this the BEST Track sponsored must attend event on the East Coast. An event that you can bring your car to and have a chance to get national magazine coverage. An event that when you leave to go home you feel good about the time you spent enjoying the history and heritage of the brand.

Exactly! Me and a few buddies will be heading down in my beater Super Bee. Just to go and see some old friends. I went religiously from '88, until a few years ago. The move to the new date landed it on the same week as my family vacation, so I ended up missing it (2 years now?).

Yes it did turn out to be nice but I remember the skies looking ominous in the morning and I felt that kept some folks away.
I live less than 10 minutes from the track. It got cloudy today but before the sun set the clouds moved on and it was for the most part clear blue skies. Weather.com is still saying clear skies for tomorrow, a high of 80, and a 10% chance of rain.
Yes, I am bringing a friend. He has a '66 Dart GT convertible and he is bringing it.

I just got home myself and it was a Great Day!!!
Not a ton of racecars but the show field was pretty well covered.
The Shootout cars were top notch, got some good deals at Herb's saw a bunch of old friends too.
I met a handful of people today and everyone was upbeat and enjoying themselves.
Be back next year for sure.

Nice day today - little light on the vendor's - but I can't say I blame them on the past few years performance - but I found a set of NICE cuda splash shields for cheap - and someone saved me from myself when I was making my way back to a vendor for a rimblow wheel core and I saw him walking away with it LOL - James - 70440+6bbl - stopped by and checked out your A12 beater - missed you. Met John - 70Ucode driving his black 70 cuda that used to be here on LI - SWEETER than ever John, saw rth's 70 Coronet R/T rag make a few passes - can you say rare ragtop? Also Dana60's Curious Yellow 71 hemiRR - NICE - great weather and some primo iron showed up in the show field and it looked like lots of guys - and at least one girl (70 greeen dart)
got to make more than a few passes - give it another shot next year - maybe what comes around WILL go around - we can only hope for it in this neck of the woods

Really nice quality of cars that came out. I think they said this was the most cars they have had in quite some time. Something like 185-190 show cars. The chally came home with a first and dad did not get anything for his GTX vert but that is to be expected as it is a work in progress! Judges were absolutely amazing.
Only two negative that I can think of right now.... lack of vendors! and there needs to be a cut off time for judging as they kept letting cars in and the judges had to keep going back and checking for cars that were missed due to them coming in late. Show was supposed to be over at 3. Trophies finally started being given out after 4 pm.

First let me say it was a great show. My only issue is the above comment is incorrect. Every first place winner did not get a E-Town jacket. I was, and so were others, in a class that did not have 3 cars in there class so we were not eligible for a jacket. We can't help other people that would be in our class keep there Mopars at home.

They started the first place jacket requirement a few years back. I agree, it's not our problem if enough cars don't fill a class. They keep all our entrance fee. Not a big issue, it was an enjoyable show. I had a blast racing.

Had a great time.Havent been thier in 10 or 12 years . Won a 3rd place trophy with our challenger which was quite unexpected but appreciated . We had a 3 and half hour ride home back in to pa and couldnt stay for awards . Being from lonely 2 lane roads in rural pa the garden state parkway was also a treat . I thought nascar moved the bristol race to that highway ! lol Great event though thier was something thier for everyone .

I for one was very pleased with the turnout. I was expecting maybe 50-60 cars there, but I started counting cars myself and got to 170 but noon. My car got some recognition as well. a First in 6 pack B-Body and best of show. Thanks again for a great day and hope a lot more people show up next year. You won't be disappointed.

After years of spectating, we finally drove out and participated in a really nice show. I too have watched this show circle the drain, but yesterday was a good sign. The weather was perfect.... Show field was jumping..... Beautiful cars left & right.......
Downside? Again, light on vendors and the swap meet was a bit weak. But that will change as confidence grows. This show was definitely one of the better shows I've attended at E-town in YEARS, Congrats to all involved!

I don't know how they can get more vendors to show up. I was going to say, make the spaces REALLY cheap, but I looked up the cost and the spots are only $30. That's already pretty cheap.
Maybe additional spaces could be $20? So, $50 for 2, $70 for 3. It might help.
I used to run an antique toy collector show with a buddy of mine. Part of our strategy was to have the cheapest vendor tables... And we did, and it worked! We always had plenty of vendors and plenty of patrons in a time when toy shows and vendors were really droppng off.

What a FANTASTIC day we had had E/town!!!
The weather was real nice,met up with sooo many people and met some members that I havn't met yet
The only thing missing for me was my car
The place wasn't packed,but they sure had a big turnout.The showfield was the biggest I've seen in years
Ralph's supercars group put on one heck of a show with cars that look like they should be trailer queens
I really liked the A/FX side show which will motor-vate me to have my car there next year for a little match racing.
I have a few hundred pictures from this event and will post them up as time allows,heck,,,,,,,,,I still have Carlisle pic's to post as well
Special thanks to Ralph,Walter & Bill for making this the best MOPARS @ E,town in a LONG time

Great job by Ralph. Also a shout out to Walter and the etown crew they did a great job. I'm with the supercar group and we had a blast. Also there were a lot more show poodles than in previous years. Only downside was just a one day event but it is what it is. Looking forward to next years event.

I couldn`t make it Saturday due to Points commitments at another track and came down Sunday to run my D 150 in Trophy and was happy to see there were still a lot of Mopars in the regular E Town classes as well as the Mopar Trophy and Money class.

No one's fault but my own here but somehow it was lost on me that it was only a one day event this time. I decided to 'skip' Saturday because for me it was always less interesting without the unmuffled cars and decided to go Sunday like I usually did in past years. Turns out I missed the event entirely! What a dope!
So I got down there Sunday for what amounted to a T'N'T day. Couple Chrysler products still there but not what I thought it would be.
I was very confused until I spoke to someone who said how packed it was the day before and I realized my mistake. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait until next year.
Glad to hear it was a good turnout though, hope it can become a two-day event again in the future.
