Rare barn find:French car with Mopar Drive line.

Hi, Have you ever seen a Facel Vega? I have a 1960 French Made Facel Vega HK 500. it has a HP383 with 2x4 bbls it has spinner wheels 4 disk brakes and was the fastest 4 seater car in the world in 1960. around 400 cars were made in the 4 years the made the HK 500s the vin on this is (3). i found it in a barn in OH. it has all its parts but needs restored.

Facel Vegas are cool. There is an old Chrysler Engineer by me that has one with a 58 or 59' 392 Hemi.Gold ext.

I think Jay Leno would like to get his hands on that.

Our local(John Leach,Leach Holmes)collector owns 1 0r 2 Facel Vegas....along with a large assortment of Citroens,Renaults,MGs,Peugeots,Simcas,etc

Congratulations on your Facel find. The Mopar powered cars are rare and desireable,especially over in Europe. I'm just finishing up awakening a 1960 HK500,an all original 18,000 mi from a 48year sleep. Here is a link to pics that may be helpful in getting things together on your car.

There are quite a number of items available to restore your car . The Facel club has quite a number of vendors to help. Facels have some peculiarities when assembling and reassembling but for the most part are pretty straight forward.
