74 Charger Ralley BB 4 speed sunroof project - 03/05/10 05:23 PM

Hi Guys, I am new here and this is my first post. Anyway, I got a pretty good deal on this car from Ebay,3K. From the build sheet and fender tag, it was a 400HP, HD 4 speed, dual sway bars, sun roof, dual flash exhaust tips,323 posi, bulge hood, 74 Ralley Charger. From my research, this is a very rare combo(probably can count on one hand.)Body is pretty straight and clean but someone did some major sanding and primering so I will need to redo that. Car has been parked in a garage for the last 8-10 years. Fuel tank is missing. Car has a built 440 and 727 currently and is very fast. I have picked up a working set of folding/hidden headlights...and a 6-71 blower with dual 750 carbs and scoop. All the glass is factory and good. Trunk is full of interior parts, chrome, mirrors, markers, etc and all looks to be there and in great shape. Should be a great summer!

I took a crap load of pictures when I got it home and put them here... http://s858.photobucket.com/albums/ab149/NukeEm666/

Should be a fun restoration! These are neat cars that deserve a little more respect from the some of the "elitists" in this hobby. I've always liked the looks of the 73-74 Chargers (without the opera windows, that is), especially the Ralley versions.

Thanks guys. I will not cut a hole in that bulge hood. I am sure I can find a flat one to use.

I'll post progress pictures as I am working on things. I am sure I will have questions along the way too. I drove a 74 SB Charger in high school(84/85) so I told my wife its my mid life crisis car! LOL

Very cool car there. Bronze looks good on thee cars!

A 400 4 speed 73 rallye is extremely rare so i kind of hope you don't cut that hood up!

Go on over to the dodgecharger.com site. A lot of 3rd gen guys over there.

This has serious potential I'd have to look for the four gear stuff though

'73/4's get no love...but I sure love them! I have a '74 rr...the ones they make nothing for
