Race cars gone what to do with the Belvedere - 08/25/17 11:15 PM

Hello everyone

Well I sold the race car alittle burnout about having just a drag only car.

Well It didn't take long but I turned around and bought a 67 Belvedere with a 318 and air conditioning I'm wanting to turn it in to a street strip car maybe do some nostalgic super stock racing.

All of the 65 Belvedere is locked in a cave begging for sunlight.

Cut up an original Silver Special 67 Belvedere to build a race car? Not these days! That is a desirable car in stock form, I'd leave it alone or give it a restoration. .02

That looks like a great car to perk up. I don't imagine it's too much fun to drive as is.

No not a all out race car. Just add some go fast parts and have fun.

I don't have any attachments to the car so might sell and buy something else

I'd drive the snot out of it just like it is .

Im thinking a 66 or 67 Belvedere will be my next garage victim for myself.
I dont need all out fast, I want a nice driver with A/C

If I may ask, where did you find it? 10K sounds like a really good buy for a what appears to be a pretty decent looking car.
AKA, right up my ally

Yes I'm hoping the back seat will fit back in there haven't made up my mind about the front bench seat though but for now I'll keep it , unless I run across a deal on a couple of A100 seats

Re: Race cars gone what to do with the Belvedere - 05/22/18 05:36 PM

While I was at the shop yesterday I noticed that the front bench seat has 3 holes in the bottom of the tracks I'm hoping I can use the first hole to get the seat to set back a little more from the steering wheel

Thanks everyone for your compliments

With the down time we are having right now I changed out the 906 heads that had a oversized header bolt hole and put on a fresh set of 516 heads and downsize my headers to a smaller size, started out with hooker super comps exhaust system is 3 inch to the rear axle seat of the pants it feels peppier
