65 Coronet 500

Hey guys and gals, new to this site. Hopefully my picture uploads, but I have a 1965 Coronet 500 that I will be rebuilding. Plans as of right now is to do more of a resto-mod. Planning on building a 432 stroker off the end it has now. Update trans to a later model 5 speed manual. Keep the interior mostly stock, maybe with a updated radio. Exterior I plan on beingoing original to the time period. Either be a gloss black or a dark silver with black vinyl top. Let me know what yall think or if ya have any tips. Thanks!

welcome aboard I love 65 Coronets especially the 500 Personally I wouldn't do the vinyl top on either color since the 65s have such a beautiful roof line and detail. Black would be beautiful, all Silver or Silver with gloss black painted top. Looks like a great body to start with Love the 65 Hemi scoops on that body style.

I have a '65 Coronet 500 with a 512 stroker and a Doug Nash 5 speed. I haven't worked on it for a few years, just too busy doing other stuff. One of these days I'll get back out there and fire it up for a ride around the block.
