here is a 70 V-code 4spd Charger I had a while back.
I always knew about this car but the guy would never even talk about it.
after about 10-15 years of pestering him he finally caved in and sold it to me. it wasnt until I stopped at the local tavern on the way home from picking it up that I got the story on the car from a few locals who immediately recognised the car and even described the owner saying they were looking for that car for quite a while in the 70s .
this was a 40k orig mile charger and the story goes that it was hidden behind a garage in the mid 70s because of being involved in a street race accident where a big block corvette ended up rolling over on the highway.
the Charger survived without a scratch and the owner quickly left the scene but he didnt want to get caught as the local PD and a few
folks were looking for this purple charger, so the owner parked it out Behind his garage (Why not in the garage) until things cooled off . a short time later someone busted all the windows out of it and that was the beginning of the end for a nice old charger.
guess you could two great cars were destroyed street racing on that day in the 70s . one just had a slow painfull death......

Here is a 68 Charger R/T we extracted from the bottom of a cow pasture, had to use a tractor since it had no suspension. Still have no idea why I wanted this pile of junk since it's not economically restorable!

does it have a custom paint job on it ? just curious as it looks it from the photo. if it does I would love to see a better pic as I really dig old custom paintjobs.

Here is my pile in progress.
It is easier to list the things that remain of the original car
1. Rear frame rails
2. Floor from rear footwell seam to the trunk floor seam
3. Front cross member frame
4. Firewall/lower cowl (upper cowl replaced)
5. Roof and front pillars.(Drip rails will be replaced)

Heres a 74 Cuda' (wearing a 70 front clip) that was sitting in a junk yard. 360 car with buckets and rallye dash. Probably "WAS" a sweet car back in the day.

Here's a 70 Charger that was saved from the crusher about two years ago. I've been looking at it trying to build up the ambition to get started . It's a 383/console auto car. It was in the boneyard for about 25 years. Plans are lime green, black vinyl top and tail stripe. The 383 is fresh now and sitting in place waiting for me to redo the engine bay.

Here's the 71 Barracuda I had.
I sold it for cheap cause there was almost nothing left. Now a guy out in Colorado is rebuilding it.

Heres my 72 340 Demon. It was built on the same day I was born, which happens to be friday the 13th no less. I already have a rust free Duster thats gonna be a sheetmetal donor for it. I'll post pics once I start on it.

Here's my 76 Swinger that I bought for $150. It came with a slant 6, disc brakes, and front sway bar. It needs a complete floor, both lower quarters, spare tire pan and driver's fender. I have all of those parts except one lower quarter. I have about 95% of the parts I need and have $250 total in the project so far. I have a 360, auto, and 8 3/4 rear end for drive train. When my son gets older, its going to be a father/son project. One thing is, These "not so desireable" A-Bodys are fairly easy to find parts for and are reasonable when you do find them.

Here's a shot of a 63 fury wagon I bought to bring my 2dr wagon back to life. Thought maybe I could save the main body to use for another one but literaly fell apart on the back of the rollback taking it home. Thankfully it had everything I needed for my project to put it back on the road.

Almost forgot about this one. This picture was taken the day my son and I found the car and bought it...for $75.00!!!!! It's a 64 sport fury convertible. Looks like a total turd but was actually super solid minus trunk pan and rear floor pans. I ended up taking a few things off of it and giving it away to someone else. It was near impossible to get out, had a propane tank in front of it and was surrounded by other junk cars and a single wide. Guy turned out to be really weird so I unbolted what I wanted and ditched it on a buddy. Guy reminded me of that Buffalo Bill character off of Joe Dirt...creepy. Come to think about it never have heard back from my buddy

Found this in a Kansas impound lot. Been there since the early 80s. This car was rusted BAD, well beyond any attemps I would make at a resto...its now in Colorado hopefully being restored back to its old glory.

Here's a project for someone. 69 GTX 440 auto car with buckets and column shift. Had all kinds of options but before I got it they were missing. Still had the Air Grabber hood though. It was sitting in a junk yard down state.

Here is mine. 69 Runner F8 383 column auto 3.91 Sure Grip. Very rusty, but everything works and its fast so I started driving it everyday after about a $1000 worth of work mechanically. Runs and drives great. I am having a blast! I picked up a rust free 68 Satellite thats just a shell out of a junkyard to supply the rust free sheetmetal to fix it.

Sanded and primed, got the 318 running, it had a 4 barrel on it which was a thermoquad setup, I pulled the carb and it's a 71 340 auto carb!

I'm working on it now. '69 Roadrunner, 451 stroker, 727 auto, 3.91 gears, black exterior, blue interior. Needs a new roof, both 1/4's, dutchman panel, package tray, trunk floor, patch panels for interior floor, and possibly rocker panels and outer wheel housings. Whew!

I am finishing up a 440, put all new fuel/brake lines, brake job, gas tank and fresh #'s trans and it's going to be my summer beater

Another... And yes, the NOS replacement fenders are rusted out as well! The original owner drove the car as you see it in the Detroit, MI area, from '74-77, which is the year he told me he scattered the original 440 while racing a '73 Mach 1 on the highway and the car has not been on the road since (still have the original MI "A" title dated 7/16/1969).

These are pics of my '63 max wedge Savoy. Not really a rusty car since the floors from front to rear are perfect, but after years of sitting in storage, the mouse nests that were assembled in the car rusted out a few nasty spots

My RT SE when we first picked it up About 13 months ago. Rust includes rear rails, truck floor, pass and drivers floors, quarters, lower firewall. Both fenders are workable, both doors are good besides passenger needing a skin from a previous hit, and decklid is a clean Original.

Here is my 70 Charger R/T. Rust in roof, trunk floor, lower quarters and extensions. Super nice frame and rest of main structure. It is currently being restored.

The WORST car I did was a 74 Duster. I replaced a quarter panel, drivers fender, the hood and patched over a crappy aftermarket sunroof. When I hear about double quarter panel replacement, floorpans AND frame rails, I realize that I am a lightweight compared to you east coast guys!

Finally going to start on this one this year. She has been off the road since 1972. My dad bought her in 1982 for my brother. Unfortunately he never even got to drive her due to alcohol problems. He passed away at 26. The car has set out side in there front yard all these years. The original block got cracked so looking to build a stroker and have some fun. Will appear mostly stock once done. I believe it is FY4 in color white interior. I like the combo myself.

Well here are some before, during and current pics of my rusted 68 GTX project, about a 2 year span...
Here's what I started with after a 28 year stay in an open pasture:
Where I found it:
This was after removing all of the damaged metal:
And this is after all of the metal was replaced and interior paint completed:
In the end I ended up changing the r/h wheel well, complete trunk pan and both extensions, r/h quarter panel, l/h lower quarter and the roof.
It currently runs and drives with the exterior bolt on panels still laying in the shop floor unpainted...I keep getting tangled up in other projects...I need therapy...
