I was able to save the original 4 speed tunnel. I did my best to duplicate the factory welds on the tunnel.

I knew somebody would call me out on the bucket seat floor brackets!!

No, I am not going to put buckets in it. I am going to stay with the bench seat. The AMD floor pan came with the brackets welded on and I guess I was getting a little lazy. I need to take them off.

My goal is to block sand it many times over the winter and shoot some beautiful orange on it this spring!

So, I have been a block sanding fool over the past few months. But, today it is done!!! And it looks GREAT! I am extremely pleased with it. Tomorrow I am going to put one more coat of primer on it and push it out of the way and wait for spring to come. Once it warms up, I will sand it one more time and shoot some color on it. I need to take a break!

The hood was very porous so fixed it up a bit and will block it one more time. I can't wait to shoot some paint on everything!

Time for some updates. I had to wait for the weather to warm up before I could spray some paint. Here are a few pictures while I was cutting it in.

Q5_Ed: I currently have an 8 1/4 from a '69 Plymouth under it. I am restoring the Dana 60 and leaf springs and will slide them back under it later.

Masked everything off and sprayed the exterior.

Masked everything off again and sprayed the inner doors black.

The steering wheel was in very rough shape. Lots of cracks. I V-eed out all of the cracks and used some 3M two-part epoxy to fix it up. I primed and sanded it and then sprayed it black. Very nice!

I also sprayed the radiator support area.

I then spent a bunch of time sanding the car with 2000 and 2500 grit and hit it with the buffer. These pictures do not do it justice. I am VERY pleased with this paint job. Not bad for a paint job in my 20'x 20' garage!

No, I do not. I traded it for another car. I miss it VERY much. Very, very much. I had a lot of time behind the wheel of that car.

Anyways, I traded it for this. Yes, it is a Hemi. Yes, it is a four speed. Yes, it is a major project.

It is starting to look good!

Dana is all cleaned up and going back under. I took the leafs all apart and cleaned/painted them as well.

I have got the rear quarter windows installed. It is now time to get the side windows installed and get the headliner in.

I have been super busy with work and other things but I have been getting a few things done on the car. Headliner is in, glass is in, hood is finished, fuel tank and lines are in, brake lines are in, etc.

I am putting the front suspension together now.

I really need to paint mine. You are really trying to inspire me aren't you haha.

Here are some updates:

Front suspension is finished. Wheels and tires are installed. Interior is complete with the exception of the front seat and steering column. Machine work is all done on the engine. I am mocking up the engine and measured for the pushrods yesterday. I have a new Mcleod clutch/pressure plate/billet flywheel ready to go in. I also have the new polished ceramic coated TTI headers and 3" full exhaust with stainless steel tips ready to get installed. The driveshaft is all ready to go.

So, what's left? A bunch of small things. Rebuild the carbs, order the correct air cleaner assembly, finish assembly of the engine, etc. Mainly, I am out of money!!!! I need to take a break for a month or so. The goal is still to have it at Carlisle, though.

2JcodeChargers: Yup! All welding, block sanding, painting, wet sanding, etc was done in my 20'x20' garage. Most don't believe it when I tell them that.

minivan: I almost didn't go with the steel wheels and redlines... I do like the Cragars...

68427vette: The Challenger is a 1970 with a '71 grill and tail lights. I will be putting a '70 grill and tail lights back in it. I have been gathering parts for it over the past couple of years. It is going to be BAD......

JcodeCharger: I like the rear wheels you have on your car. I have a set of 15x8 steel wheels that I will probably put a set of M/T Street ET's on eventually.

Mopar_Beach and Matt: It is so close I can taste it!!! I am literally going to smoke those tires right off of that car!

I love these cars. The closest I ever came was a 69 Coronet R/T that I added a sixpack to & added the lift off hood. I miss the red interior too.

Rebuilding three!

Engine is in! I ran it on my stand before I put it in. I spent a couple of afternoons after work getting the carbs adjusted and the timing curve dialed in.

MrNormsTA: Those are the polished ceramic coated 1 7/8" TTI's part number TTI440-178C5. I bought the whole 3" TTI exhaust with tips from Mancini Racing. TTI is expensive but so nice! I just finished putting the rest of the exhaust with the tips on yesterday afternoon.

Nice work, I am looking forward to seeing it in person this summer at Carlisle.

Looks fantastic! I'm digging the slight day two look with the headers and tach! I added a factory tach to my Bee when I restored it, but it was very inaccurate. I added an aftermarket.

So, I have been driving the wheels off of this thing. I can't call it my "daily driver" but I do drive it to work about 2-3 times per week and on the weekends.

This car pulls HARD and swings the tach needle to 6,000 RPM's ridiculously fast! A12 cars are super cool....

Looks great!! I love mine too. I don't think I can live without it.

Hoping to have mine done to drive soon.....

A12 Superbees are a favorite for me. When I look at all the cars of that era there are a lot of pretty cars that go pretty fast. The A12's to me are the sledge hammer. Not built for anything but fast.

Very well put, I agree Mopar dropped the hammer on competition when they made these!!!!
