The Last Hemi

The Last Hemi - 08/06/12 01:37 AM

Found this today. Restoration of a 71 Hemi Charger that is supposedly Hemi car to roll off the production line. #'s matching, but the cast date on the block is 69. Which is kind of funny as it seems most 71 Hemi cars had Jan-70 blocks.

Ive seen a couple 71's (both built during or after January 71) with 69 block, as far as I know there is nothing out of the ordinary with that finding, blocks were pulled from inventory at random.

Forget the last Hemi, that guy Mike on that site is Rockin the last Mullet so I have to assume the 80's Z28 seen in the engine video is his

Seriously though no offense, and thats going to be cool to see that car done

Is there a link to other thread that talked about this 71 Hemi Charger R/T. Hmm, that's a pretty rusty car that their starting with but I'm sure that it will be done right. Does anyone have some info on the fender tag & build sheet on this one.

That's at my local track and I haven't ever seen either truck or car. I'll be on the lookout now.
