A new buddy of mine has asked for my help in finding him a muscle car project. His 1st one at that. Man did he find a hel! of a find on craigslist this past weekend.
He called me, asked me to check it out (which I actually wanted it for myself) and I told him to immediately make arrangements to look at it. Sunday, we drove out to a small place out in the country, and low and behold a 70-SST 390 car with 75,000 actual miles and nearly all original.
Car has minor damage to the hood/grill from a deer and it was put away in a large barn where its sat since 1981. And, it was a one family owned car to boot.
How many ameture muscle car newbies find something like this?
The 390 is currently stuck, but we've already got it soaking hoping it will come lose soon. Engine compartment is virtually untouched and even has the original carb.
