the freshning up of our 1967 GTX has begun - 04/06/12 05:06 AM
Took the GTX to the body shop 4/2/2012 I`ll try to post pics as time allows. Here`s a pic taken moments after driving it into the teardown bay. The bodyman is a great friend and has been at it for over 50 years. This is the third car he has done for me. I`m doing all the teardown and tagging and bagging of everything and once I`m finished he will take over.

Our GTX has some racing history. Anybody recognize the car or have any stories to share?

The "for sale" sticker is from summitt racing and you get them in your orders. That's all I know about the car.
Sorry I had to say that. ha ha
The Car looks Nice now. Good Luck with the resto.

Every single Mopar musclecar we`ve owned in the past has always generated the same "is your car for sale" question. In every case, I finally caved in and sold the car which resulted in my wife getting upset with me. I was asked several times by different people if this car was for sale and would get the evil eye from my wife. I put the sticker on to get a reaction out of her. It took a few weeks for her to notice and yes, I got the look. The funny thing is, ever since I put that sticker on the window I haven`t been asked once if the car was for sale. Maybe I`ll get to keep this one. And before anyone else asks, the sticker wasn`t put on there to disquise this thread as a for sale ad...LOL.

With virtually no good reproduction sheetmetal available for these cars we were lucky to locate a pair of decent quarters from a 4 door donor.

What a beautiful car! I am jealous! That is one of my favorite all time Mopars. Now after all the hard work and hard earned dollars spent, enjoy it! Congrats.
