This looks interesting and would have been fun ride when new.

A touch high. But not much

There is a guy on the east coast buying these 55-56 cars up and dropping them on later model chassis powertrain conversions and getting serious big bucks for them.
He bought a friend of mines 55 and it was a running driving nice original car. for $30k
All he wanted was the body

I've seen that guy's work on a couple he did - pretty impressive in photos.

Interesting that this one and the '57 300C in another post both have their LF door interior trim removed.
Wild guess is the sellers were defeated - "that's the last straw !" - by power windows ?

Price seems very fair to me. Good thing I'm not in the market...

That actually seems a little low for a complete, solid 300

Yes fun when new, and everything worked, no rust, and no pitting on the chrome! LOL

If you were given that car and 10K in cash you would be upside down real quick. DAMHIK

Problem here is: 6 volts, 2 forward speeds and only 331 cubic inches. 1955 is the wrong year for these letter cars.

I think this was the best looking year of them.

1956 had very similar nose, better quarters and taillights, 12 volts, more cubic inches, horsepower and torque.

Couldn't agree more on the 56. But the 55 is the original.

Just like a 1965 formula S barracuda 273 4bbl 4 speed with a blistering 235 horsepower. It was the original.

Or would you rather have a 68 340? A 69 383 4 speed, a 1969 440 M code, or a 1970 hemi or 440 with a shaker? AAR?
They were a step up from the original

Gotcha, I own a G btw. I like the 56 better between the two, But the 55 was the car that put the Hemi on the map, thats all.
